The Laboratory for the Chemistry of Materials and Manufacturing at EPFL has one PhD position available starting immediately.

The position will be fully based in EPFL Neuchâtel. There are two possible topics:
a) Fundamentals of crosslinking in vat photopolymerization
b) Microstructure control in vat photopolymerization

Expected start dates and durations:
The preferred start date will be Dec 2025. The next possible start date will be Feb 2026. The position is fully funded and will run for 4 – 4.5 years.

1) PhD position in the area of polymers for vat photopolymerization (two possible topics)

2) Research intern in the area of low toxicity crosslinkers. This is a joint intern position with Simon Henein 's INSTANT LAB.

What's required

Applicants for the PhD position should have a strong background in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, or a closely related field. Experience with polymers, photopolymerization, or microstructure analysis is preferred. For the Masters opening, candidates should have relevant undergraduate training and interest in biomedical applications or polymer chemistry. All applicants should demonstrate motivation, ability to work independently, and good communication skills. Funding for Masters projects is dependent on candidate and lab resources. For externally funded positions, candidates must secure their own fellowship.
