The Rotman Research Institute at Baycrest, affiliated with the University of Toronto, is offering a full-time, two-year postdoctoral fellowship in cognitive neuroscience, focusing on aging, neurodegeneration, and advanced neuroimaging techniques. The position is supervised by Professor Rosanna Olsen and involves collaboration with other scientists and trainees at the institute. The research centers on memory, executive functions of the brain, and the impact of diseases such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, and Alzheimer's disease.

The successful candidate will conduct research on age and dementia-related neurodegeneration using structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), with opportunities to work on large open-access databases like the Alzheimer's Disease Initiative (ADNI) and the Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging (CCNA). Responsibilities include experimental design, data collection and analysis, manuscript preparation, and harmonization of multi-site neuroimaging data.

Applicants must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree with a strong background in neuropsychological theory, statistical techniques for data analysis (e.g., R), and experience with MRI, EEG, or MEG data collection and analysis. Prior research in cognitive aging or dementia is highly desirable. The fellowship provides ample opportunities for manuscript preparation, conference attendance, and collaboration with other researchers in Toronto.
