The Hydrology and Climate Impacts in Mountain Regions group at ETH Zurich and the WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF is seeking a creative and curious postdoctoral researcher to study climate impacts on hydrological extreme events. The research focuses on phenomena such as droughts, wildfires, and floods, and their effects on water quality, ecosystems, and energy production in mountain regions. The group is internationally recognized for expertise in water resources, extreme value analyses, hydrological modeling, and climate impact assessments.
The successful candidate will develop data-driven and/or process-based models to assess climate impacts, drivers, and related risks. The position offers opportunities to publish in scientific journals and present at international conferences, with close collaboration possible with the Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science at ETH Zurich.
