Call for applications for a Postdoctoral Position in Vaccine Immunology at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden, in the research group of Professor Karin Loré at the Department of Medicine, Solna, Division of Immunology and Respiratory Medicine.

The project studies how vaccines shape immune responses, with a special focus on mRNA vaccines and nanoparticle vaccines. Research topics include B cell and T cell responses after vaccination, early innate immune activation, antigen-specific immune profiling, and antibody development/specificity mapping. Methods mentioned include single-cell isolation and sequencing, flow cytometry, ELISA, bioinformatics, gene expression analysis, clinical sample processing, recombinant protein production, and epitope mapping.

This is a postdoctoral opening, not a scholarship. The position is a temporary full-time employment at Karolinska Institutet. The post is embedded in an international, high-impact environment with collaboration across academic partners, vaccine companies, and funding agencies. The post also offers opportunities to participate in experimental design, presentation, publication, group meetings, seminars, and supervision of students.

Eligibility highlights: applicants must hold a PhD in biomedicine, immunology, cell biology, or a related field. Strong knowledge of immunology, experience with relevant lab and analytical methods, proven work on antibody:antigen interactions including epitope mapping by EMPEM, deep knowledge in virology, and experience supervising students are required. Good English communication and teamwork skills are expected. A PhD completed within the last three years is an advantage.
