The University of Luxembourg, a leading international research university, is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in Cognitive Psychology to join the Institute for Lifelong Learning and Guidance within the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE). The FHSE is renowned for its interdisciplinary and multilingual research culture, bringing together experts from the humanities, linguistics, cognitive sciences, and social and educational sciences. The successful candidate will work closely with Professor Dr Claude Houssemand, focusing on cognitive differential psychology, particularly cognitive strategies in visuo-spatial tasks.
This postdoctoral position offers a dynamic environment within a globally connected university, with opportunities for collaboration, independent research, and innovative teaching. Key responsibilities include supporting research and administrative tasks in psychology, education, and guidance; conducting self-organised and collaborative research; applying for and coordinating international third-party funding; publishing in peer-reviewed journals; supervising students and doctoral researchers; and transferring research results to various communities and the wider public.
Applicants must hold a PhD in psychology, with expertise in cognitive psychology, differential psychology, neuropsychology, evaluation and assessment, or methodology and statistics. Essential qualifications include fluency in English and French, training in quantitative empirical methods, proficiency in multivariate and complex statistical methods, and a strong publication record. Knowledge of Luxembourgish and/or German is an asset, as is experience in innovative teaching and research communication.
