Are you passionate about corporate sustainability, CSR disclosure, and stakeholder influence? We are offering a fully funded 4-year PhD position at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), University of Groningen, focused on:

"The Sustainability Challenge: Substantial Contributions of Firms"
This project explores the role of firms in tackling corporate social responsibility (CSR) challenges, with a special focus on governance actors (auditors, shareholders, boards, top management) and their impact on genuine CSR activities or potential CSR decoupling. You’ll work with modern text analysis techniques and a rich proprietary dataset to conduct cutting-edge research.

?? Who we are looking for:
?? MSc or Research Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a different social science (e.g., Economics, Econometrics, Psychology, Sociology) with a quantitative focus
?? Strong research skills and fluency in English
?? Experience with large datasets or programming is a plus—or a willingness to develop these skills during the PhD
