Delft University of Technology is offering a PhD position focused on the application of eXtended reality (XR) for city logistics and urban mobility systems. The successful candidate will join the Mobility in eXtended Reality Lab, led by Assistant Professor Yan Feng.

The research involves developing immersive VR/AR applications to test mobility interventions in European pilot sites, designing and running behavioral, cognitive, and physiological experiments to understand responses to new urban designs, and integrating citizen perspectives and inclusivity into mobility design through novel XR methods. Applicants should have a Master’s degree in computer science, human–computer interaction, traffic engineering, or a related field, with strong XR development experience (Unity/Unreal), experimental design, and analytical skills.
