The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Princeton University is offering a postdoctoral position at the Keller Center for Innovation in Engineering Education, focusing on Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Research and Design. The Keller Center is an interdisciplinary hub dedicated to innovation, entrepreneurship, and the intersection of technology and society, with a growing research and teaching program in design that aligns with Princeton's mission to improve humanity through thoughtful design interventions. The successful candidate will join Prof. Adriaenssens (Form Finding Lab) and collaborate with a diverse team of designers, makers, and social scientists. Key responsibilities include developing a human-centered computational AI structural design framework to facilitate community engagement for resilient, low-cost housing; leading journal publication efforts; actively contributing to the Keller Center's academic design community; developing and writing research proposals; and supporting co- and extra-curricular activities. Applicants must hold or expect to hold a doctoral degree in civil, structural, architectural or mechanical engineering, physics, or applied mathematics, and possess a strong background in theoretical mechanics, applied mathematics, and artificial intelligence. Additional expertise in design, social sciences, or humanities is advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate a strong publication record and excellent project management and interpersonal skills. The position is for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding. The preferred start date is November 2025 or earlier. The expected salary range is $65,000 - $67,600, with a comprehensive benefits package.
