Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Multi-omics and Parkinson’s Disease – Opportunity for PhD Registration

NIMS University Rajasthan, Jaipur, is inviting applications for four Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions under a project titled “Multi-omics approach to investigate theragnostic potential for Parkinson’s pathology.” The project is led by Dr. Dharmendra Kumar Khatri, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacology, NIMS Institute of Pharmacy. The research is funded by NIMS University and offers a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary work involving medical sciences, pharmacology, molecular biology, genetics, life sciences, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), robotics, and computational biology. The project aims to integrate in-silico, in-vitro, in-vivo, and patient-derived sample analyses to develop theragnostic solutions for Parkinson’s disease. Selected candidates will collaborate with the Medical College & Hospital and various computational and robotics groups, gaining exposure to cutting-edge research in both biological and computational domains. The fellowship is ₹43,000 per month (consolidated, project-based) for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding. There is also an opportunity for PhD registration as per university norms, making this an excellent pathway for those seeking to advance their academic careers in medical science, neuroscience, and related fields. Eligibility requirements include a Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Life Sciences, or equivalent from a recognized institute (PCI/UGC/CSIR/ICMR approved). Pharm D holders are also eligible. Applicants should be under 35 years of age. Desirable skills include mammalian and stem cell culture, handling wild-type and transgenic animals, stereotaxic surgery, behavioral studies, western blotting, RT-PCR/qPCR, ICC/IHC, immunofluorescence, siRNA gene modulation, handling patient samples, and strong scientific writing and communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in these areas. To apply, candidates must submit a single PDF containing the application form, detailed CV (including publications, patents, awards), cover letter, statement of research interest, details of three referees, and self-attested certificates. Applications should be sent by email to [email protected] with the subject line: “Multi-omics approach to investigate theragnostic potential for Parkinson’s pathology.” The deadline for submission is 10 March 2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview, and no TA/DA will be provided. The university reserves the right to modify or cancel the recruitment process at any stage. This position is ideal for candidates interested in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of medical science, neuroscience, pharmacology, and computational biology, with a focus on Parkinson’s disease and theragnostic development.
