PhD Positions in Signal Processing, Biomedical Diagnostics, and ISAC at Bennett University
Bennett University is inviting applications for PhD positions for the 2025-26 academic year. The research areas include non-invasive and non-contact medical diagnostics with a focus on speech as a biomedical signal, Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) with emphasis on MIMO/Massive MIMO/IRS, and non-destructive evaluation (NDE) using multimodal techniques for industrial asset assessment. There is potential for industry collaboration in NDE projects.
Applicants should have a solid understanding of signal processing, machine learning, and programming skills in Python or Matlab. A passion for research and a willingness to learn are highly valued. The PhD program is open in Engineering and Applied Sciences, Computer Science Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Law, Management, Journalism and Mass Communication, and Liberal Arts (including English, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Economics). Both full-time and part-time options are available.
Admission requires qualifying a written test and personal interview. Candidates with valid NET, UGC/CSIR (JRF), ICAR, SLET, GATE, or Teacher Fellowship certificates are exempted from the written test. The university offers a JRF/Teaching Assistantship of Rs. 40,000 per month to deserving full-time candidates, along with monetary support for conference attendance and access to advanced research facilities and databases.
Applications open on 10th November 2025 and close on 31st December 2025. The entrance examination (written test and interview/presentation) will be held on 16th January 2026.
