Postdoctoral Position in Biomedical AI and Deep Learning for Healthcare Data

The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, is offering a fully funded postdoctoral position in Biomedical Artificial Intelligence, supervised by Assistant Professor Shengtian Sang. This opportunity is supported by an NIH T-series training grant and is open exclusively to U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) due to funding requirements. The research will focus on the development and application of advanced machine learning and deep learning methods for medical and biomedical applications. Key areas include computer vision and AI for healthcare data such as medical imaging, foundation models, one-shot and few-shot adaptation in clinical settings, synthetic data generation guided by clinical knowledge, and explainable and interpretable AI models for biomedical applications. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Computer Science, Biomedical Informatics, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field, with a solid background in machine learning and/or deep learning. Experience with AI for healthcare, medical imaging, or biomedical data analysis is highly preferred. Strong programming skills in Python and frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow are required. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a research environment is essential.
