Limited Term Faculty Position in Criminology, Law, and Social Policy at Bishop’s University
The Department of Sociology at Bishop’s University is seeking applications for a full-time, 24-month limited term faculty position in the area of Criminology, Law, and Social Policy, starting July 1, 2026. The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic community in the Eastern Townships, southeast of Montreal, and will be expected to teach three courses per semester (fall and winter), participate in departmental meetings and committees, and maintain an active research program. The ability to teach research methods is considered an asset but is not required.
Applicants must have a PhD (or be nearing completion) in a relevant field, a demonstrated history of teaching excellence, and an active research program in criminology, law, or social policy. Candidates must also be legally eligible to work in Canada as of the start date.
