Cranfield University, in partnership with the British Council and the UK Mission to ASEAN, is offering six fully funded Women in STEM Scholarships for female students from ASEAN countries. This initiative aims to address the gender gap in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by supporting women who aspire to pursue postgraduate studies and inspire future generations in these fields. The scholarships are open to women from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam, who wish to enroll in eligible MSc programs at Cranfield University for the 2026–2027 academic year.

The scholarship covers full tuition fees, a monthly stipend of £1,731 (with accommodation costs deducted if staying on campus), travel expenses, visa, and health coverage fees. Eligible MSc courses include Advanced Materials, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Dynamics, Aerospace Manufacturing, Air Transport Management, Airport Planning and Management, Applied Artificial Intelligence, Astronautics and Space Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Automotive Mechatronics, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Future Food Sustainability, Renewable Energy, Robotics, Safety and Human Factors in Aviation, Thermal Power and Propulsion, Water and Wastewater Processes, and Welding Engineering.

Applicants must be women as defined under UK law, permanent residents of an ASEAN member state, and able to obtain a UK visa. They must agree to return to their home country for at least two years after completing the scholarship, meet Cranfield University's entry requirements for the chosen MSc course, and have completed their undergraduate degree by 13 July 2026. Candidates must demonstrate financial need, be active in STEM, and show a commitment to capacity-building and socio-economic advancement in their home country. Preference is given to those without significant prior international or UK study experience. Applicants must not hold dual British citizenship or be employees/relatives of certain UK government or British Council staff.
