What's required

Applicants must satisfy the entry requirements for PhD study at the University of Southern Queensland, including completion of an Honours Degree with First-Class or 2A Honours or equivalent, or a Master’s degree with a significant research component in a related discipline (e.g., mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics). Candidates must not be receiving equivalent support providing a benefit greater than 75% of the student’s stipend rate. Eligibility to commence a PhD in early-to-mid 2025 is required. Due to research sensitivities, some projects are restricted to students from Australia and countries listed on the Defence Trade Controls, Foreign Countries List. Academic merit, research experience, communication skills, and letters of recommendation are considered.
