The Chemical Process Laboratory for Advanced Materials (CPLAM) at Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea, is inviting applications for a PhD/MS-Integrated PhD student position for Spring 2026 (March intake). The research group, led by Professor Do-Heyoung Kim, focuses on cutting-edge topics such as atomic layer deposition (ALD), electrochemical energy storage and conversion, and environmental applications. The lab's expertise includes developing process technology for diffusion prevention films using plasma deposition techniques, designing nanostructured materials, and active research in electrochromic devices, hybrid supercapacitors, solar cells, photocatalysis, water splitting, electrocatalysis, and sensors.

Applicants should be highly motivated and have a background in chemical engineering, materials science, chemistry, or environmental science.
