Eligibility requires a second cycle degree (master’s or equivalent), or at least 240 higher education credits with 60 at second-cycle level, or equivalent knowledge. Applicants should have an academic background in civil engineering or a related discipline such as engineering physics. English proficiency equivalent to English B/6 is mandatory. Selection criteria include independence, collaboration skills, professional approach, and analytical ability. Practical experience in geotechnical engineering, familiarity with statistics, risk and safety analysis, and programming skills are advantageous. Strong academic credentials and proficiency in English, both written and spoken, are required. Security clearance may be necessary for some positions.
The position is temporary, with a contract for up to four years, renewable annually or biannually. Doctoral students are entitled to a workplace, employee benefits, and a monthly salary according to KTH’s doctoral student salary agreement.
