Funding
The JJ/WBGSP scholarship is fully funded and covers full tuition fees, a monthly living stipend, round-trip international airfare, health insurance, and a travel allowance. The scholarship supports study for up to two years. It does not cover visa costs, family expenses, extra-curricular courses, or research-related expenses.
How to apply
Apply for admission to one of the 44 JJ/WBGSP participating master's programs. Once unconditionally admitted, request the JJ/WBGSP application link from the university. Complete the scholarship application during the relevant window. Review official guidelines on the World Bank website.
Requirements
Applicants must be nationals of a World Bank member developing country, not hold dual citizenship of any developed country, be in good health, and hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) earned at least 3 years prior to the application deadline. They must have at least 3 years of paid, development-related work experience acquired within the past 6 years, and be employed in development-related work in a paid full-time position at the time of application. Applicants must be unconditionally admitted (except for funding) to at least one of the JJ/WBGSP participating master’s programs located outside their country of citizenship and residence. Strong commitment to development impact is required. Applicants cannot be staff or close relatives of World Bank Group staff, and must not have previously declined or failed to complete a JJ/WBGSP scholarship.
