This fully funded PhD opportunity at the University of Warwick focuses on the bottom-up decoding of protein conformational landscapes, spanning environments from gas-phase to solution. Hosted by the Centre for Doctoral Training in the Modelling of Heterogeneous Materials (HetSys) within the Department of Physics, the project is supervised by Professor Scott Habershon. The research aims to unravel the complex mechanisms of protein folding, a process central to biological function and disease, by integrating advanced graph-driven folding simulations with experimental mass spectrometry data. This interdisciplinary approach will enable the mapping of free energy landscapes associated with protein folding, providing insights into both fundamental biology and misfolding-related diseases such as Alzheimer's.
