Applicants must hold an M.Sc or M.Eng degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or Computer Science/Engineering. Strong digital signal processing and mathematical backgrounds are required, evidenced by grades and/or prior publications. Expertise or strong interest in wireless, mobile, satellite communications, non-terrestrial networks (NTNs), multi-orbit architectures (GEO, MEO, LEO), 5G/6G technologies (3GPP-based multi-connectivity), communication system modelling, performance analysis, simulation, optimization tools, and machine learning techniques is expected. Hands-on experience with software-defined radios (SDRs) and/or OpenAirInterface5G software stack is desirable. Programming skills in MATLAB or Python, C/C++ are required. Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory; knowledge of French, German, or Luxembourgish is a plus.
