About this position

This PhD opportunity at Ulster University invites candidates to explore the frontiers of NeuroAI, working at the intersection of neuroscience, cognitive science, and artificial intelligence. Based at the Intelligent Systems Research Centre within the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment, the successful candidate will join a vibrant, interdisciplinary environment. The project draws on the strengths of Ulster’s Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience, Neurotechnology, AI/ML, and Computational Biology communities, offering access to both open and proprietary datasets from Ulster’s labs and international collaborators.

Training will be provided in key areas including artificial intelligence, machine learning, computational modelling of behaviour and brain function, high-performance computing, applied mathematics, statistics, neuroscience, and cognitive science.
