A PhD position is available at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) under the supervision of Professor Mohamed Atef. The research focuses on the application of embedded systems and artificial intelligence (AI) for biomedical applications. The position involves designing and synthesizing AI models on FPGA or deploying them on MCU, conducting high-quality research, writing journal papers, and presenting results at international conferences.

Applicants must have a master's degree in electrical and electronics engineering, computer engineering, biomedical engineering, or an equivalent field, with both MSc and BSc GPAs above 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Experience with MCU and FPGA is required, along with motivation, initiative, flexibility, and the ability to work in an international team. Proficiency in English is necessary, demonstrated by an official IELTS certificate with a score of 6.5 or higher.
