The University of Graz invites applications for a postdoctoral assistant position in the field of quantum gravity, based at the Institute of Physics. This six-year, full-time appointment offers a dynamic research environment within a collaborative group focused on advancing the scientific goals of quantum gravity. The successful candidate will conduct independent research, participate in seminars and group meetings, and contribute to the development of new research directions aligned with the group’s core themes. Applicants must hold a completed doctoral or Ph.D. degree in theoretical physics or a closely related discipline. Essential expertise includes quantum gravity, renormalization group methods, or effective field theory. Prior postdoctoral experience and/or co-supervision is highly desirable. Candidates should possess excellent English communication skills, demonstrate enthusiasm for scientific work, and show a strong commitment to mentoring students. The University of Graz offers a minimum annual gross salary of €70,200.20 (full-time), with the possibility of higher compensation based on qualifications and experience.
