The Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), Switzerland's largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences, is seeking two Postdoctoral Fellows in aerosol chemistry for its Laboratory of Atmospheric Chemistry. The successful candidates will focus on mass spectrometry measurements using aerosol mass spectrometers and extractive electrospray ionization mass spectrometry. Research will include studying the health relevance of aerosols using oxidative potential as a marker for health impact, conducting statistical source apportionment analysis, and participating in measurement campaigns in Romania. The roles also involve supporting other postdoctoral fellows and PhD students in various campaigns and publishing results in impactful journals.

Applicants must have a PhD in atmospheric science, proficiency in aerosol mass spectrometry, and in-depth experience in data analysis and programming (such as Python). A strong publication record and excellent oral and written English skills are required, along with a team-oriented working style.
