PhD/JRF Position in Biofluid Mechanics at National Institute of Technology Rourkela

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela (NIT Rourkela), India, invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) cum Ph.D. position in the field of Biofluid Mechanics. This opportunity is funded by the ANRF-PAIR (Partnerships for Accelerated Innovation and Research) program under the project "Consortium of Technologies for Sustainable Agriculture, Health, Energy and Environment." The research will focus on advanced topics in biofluid mechanics, with potential applications in biomedical engineering, computational mechanics, artificial intelligence, and related interdisciplinary areas. Supervision: The position is supervised by Dr. Kishore Singh Patel (Assistant Professor), with Prof. Swadesh Kumar Pratihar and Prof. Himanshu Bhushan Sahu as PI and Co-PI, all from NIT Rourkela. Eligibility: Applicants must hold an M.Sc., M.Tech., or M.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computational Mechanics, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields with at least 65% marks or 7.0 CGPA, or a B.Tech. first class with a valid GATE score. The age limit is generally 28 years, with relaxations for reserved categories as per government norms. Funding: The position offers a monthly stipend of INR 37,000 for the first two years and INR 42,000 for the third year, with no HRA applicable.
