Postdoctoral Associate in Microeconomic Theory and Political Economy at Yale University
Yale University is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Associate position in Microeconomic Theory and Political Economy within the Department of Economics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with Professor Navin Kartik, engaging in both independent research and joint projects. The position offers a vibrant academic environment, with access to the Cowles Foundation and the Center for Algorithms, Data, and Market Design (CADMY), and encourages participation in seminars, conferences, and other intellectual activities at Yale.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Economics or a related discipline by the start date and demonstrate a strong record of research and publication in Economic Theory, Political Economy, Game Theory, or Information Economics. The appointment begins July 1, 2026, or later by mutual agreement, and is for one year with the possibility of renewal for a second year. The position is fully funded, offering a $90,000 annual salary, Yale benefits, a $10,000 travel/research stipend, and workspace. The associate is expected to be present on campus at least three days per week and reside in the New Haven area.
