Funded MSc Thesis Positions in AI-enabled Computer Vision, Robotics, and Perception
Two fully funded MSc thesis positions are available at Algoma University under the supervision of Assistant Professor Omar AL-Buraiki. The research focuses on cutting-edge topics at the intersection of AI-enabled computer vision, robotic intelligence, 3D-SLAM/robotic perception, human–computer/robot interaction (HCI/HRI), and data-driven or learning-based control design. Successful candidates will explore how intelligent machines and robots perceive, interpret, make decisions, and adapt in real-world environments. The work involves developing and evaluating novel solutions using real sensor data, coding, experimentation, and contributing to collaborative research projects.
Applicants should have a BSc degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field, with strong academic performance. Required skills include programming in Python and/or C++, and machine learning. Preferred backgrounds include robotics, computer vision, or photogrammetry.
