The CoRDS Doctoral Network, titled "Confident Data-Driven Decision Support," is offering 15 fully funded PhD positions across leading European universities and research institutions. This network is coordinated by Professor Kevin Tierney at the University of Vienna and is funded by the European Union under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Networks programme (Grant Agreement No. 101227512).

Research topics include machine learning, operations research, data-driven optimization, trustworthy AI, large language models, logistics, production, and game theory, with a strong emphasis on fairness, interpretability, and robustness. The program aims to train the next generation of analytics experts who can bridge the gap between advanced machine learning and operations research, focusing on the development of trustworthy, robust, and interpretable optimization methods for real-world applications.

PhD candidates will be hosted at the University of Vienna, Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, Eindhoven University of Technology, IT-Universitetet i København, Tilde, University College Cork, Universitat de Lleida, University of Warwick, and Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Supervisors include leading academics such as Kevin Tierney, Michele Lombardi, Michela Milano, Yingqian Zhang, Isel Grau, Anna Rogers, Marcis Pinnis, Inguna Skadiņa, Barry O'Sullivan, Carlos José Ansótegui Gil, Paolo Turrini, and Ann Nowe. The network also collaborates with industry partners from logistics, healthcare, public transportation, manufacturing, consulting, and communication sectors, ensuring broad applicability and impact.
