About this position
Sharing some of the results of our recently completed British Council funded project in collaboration with Tongji University in China. A challenging, yet rewarding project, that involved many staff and students. The project not only strengthened research and collaboration between the two universities but also provided opportunities for many of our BSc students from Architectural Design Technology, Architecture, and Engineering as well as placement opportunities for our MSc engineering courses.
Many thanks to Mohan Dungarani , our Research Assistant, for preparing the documents and to all the staff and students who contributed to the project some of whom have been mentioned on the webpage. A truly collaborative project that owes its success to the hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm of several students and staff including our technical team at dfUEL .
The project will continue for the next 2 years, thanks to a fully funded PhD studentship by the UEL School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering , with ongoing research on the Energy and Structural Performances of 3D Printed Concrete.
Some of the printed prototypes and samples will be available to view at the Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability at UEL.

What did we achieve?

? Created learning opportunities for BSc students in Architectural Design Technology, Architecture, and Engineering.

But we’re not stopping here!
