The research project centers on the joint optimization of communication and data fusion requirements in WSN-IoT systems, targeting smart applications such as transportation, farming, and health. The candidate will address key performance metrics including reliability, connectivity, throughput, delay, network lifetime, power efficiency, and security, with a novel approach to system and network design.
Responsibilities include conducting literature reviews, developing innovative communication designs, performing theoretical analyses, and creating simulations using programming languages like MATLAB and Python. The candidate will disseminate research findings through peer-reviewed publications, write technical reports, assist in supervising undergraduate and Ph.D. students, contribute to new research proposals, and collaborate with both local and international academic partners.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in communications engineering, computer science/engineering, or related fields, with a strong publication record and proven teamwork experience. Essential skills include advanced mathematical and analytical abilities, technical expertise in wireless communications and network optimization, and proficiency in MATLAB and Python.
