A graduate position (MSc, with possibility for PhD) is available for Spring or Fall 2026 in the Ziter Urban Landscape Ecology Lab at Concordia University, Montreal. The project investigates the contributions of urban forests on private and public land to connectivity, biodiversity (tree, bird, bat), and climate-related ecosystem services across Canadian cities. The position is co-supervised by Dr. Carly Ziter and Dr.

Janani Sivarajah, with collaboration from colleagues at Université Laval, University of British Columbia, and Environment and Climate Change Canada. The research is interdisciplinary, combining fieldwork, laboratory, and computer analysis, and offers opportunities for collaboration with a diverse team. The lab emphasizes a supportive, inclusive, and equitable environment, with competitive funding (average grad stipend > $30K/year).
