About this position

Full funded PhD position for UK/International Students
I aim to nominate a candidate for the ERPE Joint PhD Studentship between Heriot-Watt University and The University of Edinburgh . The doctoral candidate will work around additive manufacturing, digital twin, and sustainability for energy storage batteries. The candidate will be placed at Institute of Mechanical, Process and Energy Engineering (IMPEE) , Heriot-Watt University and the project will be jointly supervised by Dr Amer Syed from the University of Edinburgh School of Engineering and industrial partner SAVEIONS LTD . The studentship will cover tuition fees and an enhanced 10% stipend in addition to standard UKRI rates. What's required

Applicants should be UK or international students with a strong academic background relevant to additive manufacturing, digital twin, sustainability, or energy storage batteries. Candidates should ideally hold a first-class or upper second-class undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in engineering, materials science, or a related field.
