About this position

Jönköping International Business School (JIBS), part of Jönköping University in Sweden, is inviting applications for four fully funded PhD positions in Business Administration. JIBS is recognized as a triple crown accredited and FT Top 100 European Business School, offering a vibrant international research environment with a focus on entrepreneurship, ownership, and renewal. The school is home to leading research centers such as the Media, Management and Transformation Centre (MMTC), Centre for Family Entrepreneurship and Ownership (CeFEO), and Centre for Entrepreneurship and Spatial Economics (CEnSE).

PhD students will engage in high-quality academic research, coursework, and teaching, with 80% of their time dedicated to doctoral studies and 20% to teaching and administrative duties. Research topics include entrepreneurship, strategy, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, family business governance, ownership, and the impact of new technologies and media. The program is designed for candidates motivated to pursue international research careers and contribute to interdisciplinary research centers.

Applicants must hold or be near completion of a Master's degree with at least 240 ECTS credits (including 60 at the second-cycle level and 90 in Business Administration) and demonstrate fluency in English. Required application materials include a letter of intent, research proposal, CV, academic transcripts, degree diplomas, evidence of teaching or industry experience, a copy of the Master thesis, a reference letter, and contact information for two additional references. All documents must be in English.
