A fully-funded 4-year PhD studentship is available at the University of Bristol as part of the SWBio Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP). The project, titled 'Targeted Protein Degradation as a Cutting-Edge Tool to Study Tyrosine Kinases in Platelet Signaling and Function,' will use Proteolysis-Targeting Chimeras (PROTACs) and molecular modeling to investigate how tyrosine kinases regulate platelet signaling and function. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in targeted protein degradation, computational modeling, and platelet biology, working in a vibrant interdisciplinary environment.

The project is jointly supervised by Professor Ingeborg Hers, Dr. Robin Corey, and Professor Varinder Aggarwal. Applicants should have a strong background in biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, or a related field, and an interest in molecular biology or computational modeling.
