Description

The Chair of Agricultural Production and Resource Economics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) is inviting applications for a PhD position focused on empirical and applied microeconomics within the context of agricultural economics, sustainability, and digital transformation. The research group operates at the intersection of agricultural economics, resource management, policy analysis, and technology adoption, and is embedded in both the TUM School of Management and the TUM School of Life Sciences. Research topics include productivity and efficiency measurement, policy design and impact analysis, resource allocation, growth and welfare evaluation, and technology diffusion and firm-level innovation. The successful candidate will contribute to high-impact national and international research projects, benefit from TUM’s international research networks, and receive top-tier supervision from senior academic staff including Professor Johannes Sauer, Dr. Maria Vrachioli, and Dr. Fabian Frick.
