A fully funded PhD position is available at the Cancer Research Center of Lyon (CRCL), University Claude Bernard Lyon 1, France, through the EURECA Horizon Europe MSCA Doctoral Network. The research project focuses on rRNA epitranscriptomic modifications in glioblastoma (GB) heterogeneity and plasticity, with a strong emphasis on molecular biology, RNA, and cancer research. The EURECA network brings together 21 academic, clinical, and industrial partners across Europe, offering doctoral candidates the chance to undertake cutting-edge research projects in cancer epitranscriptomics. The project will investigate RNA modifications and their impact on cancer initiation, progression, and treatment resistance, specifically in high-grade gliomas. The research will contribute to the development of novel diagnostic tools and therapeutics in cancer biology.

The position is fully funded under the Horizon Europe MSCA program, with a competitive monthly gross salary comprising a living allowance (€4735.81/month), mobility allowance (€710/month), and, if applicable, a family allowance (€660/month). The contract is temporary and full-time, with 35 hours per week. The starting date is December 2025, and the application deadline is April 30, 2026.
