About this position

Karolinska Institutet is advertising a postdoctoral researcher position in digitalization, lifestyle habits, and health within the research group of Ylva Trolle Lagerros. The project focuses on health, lifestyle habits, obesity, physical activity, digital solutions, and AI-supported lifestyle interventions. The postdoc will coordinate and evaluate an intervention study starting in 2026, with responsibilities spanning study design, co-creation with stakeholders, data collection, data processing, data analysis, scientific presentations, publications, and collaboration with national and international partners.

The position is based at Karolinska Institutet in Huddinge, Sweden (Campus Flemingsberg). The role is especially suitable for candidates with a background in epidemiology, biostatistics, qualitative methods, public health, medical science, statistics, or digital health research. Experience with lifestyle research, AI, measurement of dietary intake or physical activity, and statistical software is considered an advantage.

Eligibility highlights: a PhD or equivalent foreign degree is required, and it must be completed by the time of the employment decision. A PhD completed within the last three years is advantageous. Strong Swedish language skills are essential, and excellent English communication skills are required. The post is a temporary full-time employment; clinical work (for example 20%) may be combined with the position.

Application deadline: 2026-05-06. Applicants must submit a proof of doctoral degree, a complete CV, a publication list, and a one-page summary of current work and motivation through the Varbi recruitment system.
