Postdoctoral Researcher Positions in Assistive and Rehabilitation Robotics, Physical AI, and Clinical ML at Chung-Ang University
The Assistive & Rehabilitation Robotics Lab (AR Lab) at Chung-Ang University, led by Associate Professor Giuk Lee, is seeking four postdoctoral researchers to join innovative projects at the intersection of robotics, physical AI, and clinical machine learning. The lab focuses on developing a Physical AI pipeline for wearable robots, leveraging real-world motion data to enhance human digital twins and control intelligence. Successful candidates will collaborate with HUROTICS, a wearable robot company spun off from the lab, providing a unique opportunity to translate research into clinical applications.
Open positions include: (A) Digital Human Modeling & Biomechanics Simulation, (B) Motion Data Pipeline, (C) Physical AI Foundation Model for Wearable Robots, and (D) Clinical ML for Motion-based Diagnosis & Prognosis. Each role offers the chance to lead or contribute to cutting-edge research in areas such as physics-based modeling, scalable data pipelines, reinforcement learning, and clinical decision support systems.
The lab values end-to-end ownership, reproducible and clean code, and interdisciplinary curiosity. Applicants should have a PhD in robotics, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or related fields, with expertise relevant to the specific position. The start date is flexible, and salary will be determined based on experience and expertise. The positions are based in Seoul, South Korea.
To apply, candidates should send their CV, Google Scholar profile, and a 1-page project summary to [email protected]. For more information, visit the lab website at
