Dual PhD in Nanomaterials for Infrared-responsive Biomedical and Energy Applications

A fully funded Dual PhD Scholarship Opportunity is available through a collaboration between Hokkaido University (Japan) and the University of Melbourne (Australia). The program focuses on the synthesis and study of nanomaterials with enhanced interactions with infrared light, targeting applications in biomedical and energy fields, including camouflage technologies. This unique joint PhD program offers students the chance to work under the supervision of researchers at both institutions, with a minimum 12-month research stay in Melbourne. Applicants are automatically considered for the HU-UoM scholarship, which covers living expenses in both Japan and Australia, as well as one-way flights from the applicant's country of origin to Hokkaido University and from Hokkaido University to the University of Melbourne.
