PhD Position in Electrocatalysis, Electrochemistry, and Materials Science for Water Electrolyzers

A collaborative PhD opportunity is available in the field of electrocatalysis, electrochemistry, and materials science, focusing on proton and anion exchange membrane water electrolyzers (PEMWEs and AEMWEs). The project is a partnership between the National Research Council Canada (NRC) in Vancouver and the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR). Research will center on developing high-performance electrocatalyst layers and investigating material degradation mechanisms and performance losses under realistic operating conditions. Candidates should have a strong background in electrochemistry, materials science, or electrocatalysis, and demonstrate research excellence, independence, and a keen interest in sustainable energy technologies. Priority is given to candidates currently residing in Canada.
