Funding details

Fully funded Commonwealth PhD scholarship covering tuition fees, living stipend, and travel costs. The scholarship is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and is intended for those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.

What's required

Applicants must be citizens or have refugee status in an eligible Commonwealth country classified as least developed or vulnerable by the OECD DAC. Applicants must hold a high-quality undergraduate degree and have the potential to undertake world-class research. Supporting documentation required includes proof of citizenship, full academic transcripts, references from at least two individuals, and a supporting statement from a proposed UK supervisor. English language proficiency may be required by the university. Applicants must apply via the CSC Central system and also through a nominating agency or organization.
