Help us advance electron microscopy and spectroscopy to deepen our understanding of the structure of nanoclusters as small as a few atoms.
At DTU Nanolab, you will have access to state-of-the-art (scanning) transmission electron microscopes to further develop cutting-edge techniques such as electron diffraction (microED), low dose/high sensitivity phase contrast imaging in TEM and/or STEM (EWR, iDPC, ptychography) and electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS).
This exciting project is part of an interdisciplinary and highly collaborative research effort in which we work closely with the group of Prof. Roland A. Fischer (Chair of Inorganic and Organometallic Chemistry) and Mian Zahid Hussain (PhD) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM, Germany).
Together, we will investigate fundamental questions about the structure-property relationships of functional metal nanoclusters embedded in microporous crystalline frameworks. Our collaborators at TUM work on the atom-precise design of materials, while at DTU you will develop concepts to characterise these fascinating 3D inorganic/organic nanostructures at the atomic level.
