We are seeking highly motivated candidates to join a fully funded PhD in Computer Science or Aerospace Engineering through the Next Generation Graduate Program (NGGP), co-funded by Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) .

Eligibility:

Funding details

Fully funded PhD scholarship with a generous stipend of approximately $55,000 per annum. Additional training allowance and travel support are available through the CSIRO Next Generation Graduate Program. Tuition fees are covered for domestic students. Industry placement and national training program participation are included.

What's required

Applicants must be Australian citizens eligible for Defence security clearance. A strong background in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Data Science, or Aerospace is required. Demonstrated interest in NLP, LLMs, or applied AI for Defence and Aerospace is preferred. Full-time PhD enrolment at RMIT University is required. Candidates must be highly motivated and able to participate in the CSIRO NGGP national training program.
