Funding details

The positions are fully funded through the Research project scholarship, which includes a living stipend of $36,400 per annum (tax free, 2025 rate, indexed annually) and full tuition fee coverage.

What's required

Applicants must have a strong academic record and preferably a background in molecular biology, genomics, bioinformatics, computational biology, software engineering, or related fields. Experience in experimental laboratory skills, immunology, oncology, pharmacology, or AI/machine learning is highly desirable. Assessment is competitive and considers academic record, publications, honors, awards, and employment history. Eligibility for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program at The University of Queensland is required.
