Hydrology and Data Analysis Summer School (HydRoData 2026) for PhD, MSc, and Postdoc Researchers University of Ljubljana in Slovenia

The HydRoData Summer School 2026, organized by the UNESCO Chair on Water-related Disaster Risk Reduction at the University of Ljubljana, offers an intensive program focused on hydrology and data analysis, with a strong emphasis on R programming. The event is designed for PhD students, but Master's students and Postdocs are also encouraged to apply. The summer school will take place from August 31 to September 4, 2026, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, at the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering, Department of Environmental Civil Engineering.

Participants will engage in lectures and workshops covering topics such as hydrological data measurement, data manipulation, analysis, visualization, and hydrological modelling. The program is delivered in English and aims to provide early-career researchers with practical skills in reproducible workflows using R. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a 2 ECTS certificate.

The summer school is limited to 20 participants, ensuring an interactive and focused learning environment. The registration fee is 380 EUR for non-IAHR members and 340 EUR for IAHR members, which includes course materials, lunch and coffee breaks, a social event, and a field trip. The application deadline is May 17, 2026. Selection will be based on the number of applicants, and the event will not be held if fewer than 10 applications are received.
