The University of Hamburg is offering 12 funded PhD positions in the DFG Graduate Program "Managerial and Economic Dimensions of Health Care Quality." The program is hosted by the Business School in collaboration with the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). Research topics span health care quality, health economics, management, digital health, long-term care, deep learning for treatment effects, patient-physician interaction, health insurance, informal care for chronic conditions, provider incentives, and experimental studies. The positions are funded at EGR. 13 TV-L (75%), for three years, starting April 2026. Applicants should have a relevant master's degree and strong interest in health care quality, economics, or management. Experience with quantitative methods or experimental design is advantageous.
