1. Develop Digital Image Correlation (DIC) techniques and custom mechanical testing methods on metallic structural materials
2. Perform finite element simulations on mechanical samples to compare with DIC results
3. Using machine learning techniques to establish multidimensional regression models that connect the mechanical load and DIC strain map data to the mechanical properties of the material
Preferred Qualifications
1. Research experience in mechanical testing, finite element simulations, and machine learning
2. Have a solid foundation in solid mechanics, mathematics, linear algebra, and finite element analysis
3. Have published peer-reviewed journals and attended international conferences
4. Fluent in programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) and main experimental, simulation, and plotting software (e.g., CALPHAD, SolidWorks, LabVIEW, Origin)
