Do you have a master’s in public health, epidemiology, global health, health geography, psychology, sociology, urban planning/design, digital health, health or related fields, who speaks Spanish?
Do you have a strong interest in cities, health and wellbeing research?
Do you have experience working with youth or are are eager to gain such experience?
Are you interested in involving members of the public/community in collecting, visualizing and interpreting data in real time through citizen science?
Are you interested in co-designing, implementing and evaluating urban design interventions with youth to make cities more youth-friendly and mental health-promoting?
I am looking to support a student to pursue the PhD in Mental Health at McGill University, focusing on a research project in Colombia, in collaboration with EAFIT University in Medellin (Start date: January 2026). This is a bold interdisciplinary project at the intersection of youth mental health and wellbeing, cities, urban design and citizen science, in close collaboration with youth and diverse stakeholders in Colombia.
The student must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and able to read, write and speak fluently in English and Spanish.
