About this position

This Post-Doctoral Research Associate position is part of the Mental Health Translational Research Collaboration (MH-TRC) Mission within the Mental Health Research for Innovation Centre (M-RIC), aligned to the NIHR Mental Health Translational Research Collaboration and based in the Civic Health Innovation Labs (CHIL) at the University of Liverpool. The M-RIC programme is a collaborative effort between the University of Liverpool and Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, running until December 2027, and aims to deliver wide-reaching benefits to the region while establishing its partners as leaders in mental health innovation. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively on projects addressing the social and wider determinants of mental health and wellbeing.

The role requires excellent organisational and time management skills to coordinate diverse projects within the M-RIC themes. Applicants should have a strong understanding of issues related to the treatment, care, and prevention of mental distress, as well as health, mental health, and wellbeing inequalities.

Preferred candidates will be skilled in both qualitative and quantitative research methods and have experience working with partners and the public. The position is available on a fixed-term basis until 31 May 2026, with salary progression dependent on PhD award status.
