About this position

The ImmunoPreCept Excellence Cluster in Berlin is recruiting PhD and Postdoctoral researchers for interdisciplinary projects in precision prevention and immunology. The cluster brings together leading experts in medicine, experimental life sciences, and computational approaches to advance translational innovation in immune-mediated diseases. Projects span molecular and cellular mechanisms of immune dysregulation, systems-level modeling of immune homeostasis, remission states in bone marrow, immune reprogramming in metabolic disease, and EBV-related autoimmune dysregulation. Candidates with backgrounds in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, mathematics, physics, or biology with computational expertise are encouraged to apply. The research environment fosters collaboration across clinical research, laboratory discovery, and data science, offering access to cutting-edge technologies such as single-cell and spatial multi-omics, machine learning, and quantitative modeling. PhD positions are offered at E13, 65% (3-year contract) and Postdoc positions at E13, 100% (2-year contract), embedded in a newly funded cluster of excellence and supported by ImmunoPreCept Academy programs. Berlin provides a vibrant research ecosystem and international community. Applications should be submitted via the Charité application portal. For more information and detailed project descriptions, visit the ImmunoPreCept website.
