Teaching experience or participation in extra training and conferences is recommended. For foreign diplomas not in Dutch, French, German, or English, a translation must be provided. Previous appointments as junior assistant or doctoral fellow in the Flemish Community will be deducted from the maximum term of six years.

The appointment is for two years, with the possibility of renewal twice for two years each, contingent on positive evaluations. Remuneration is determined according to salary scale AAP3, and staff members enjoy a range of benefits including training and education opportunities, 36 days of paid leave, bicycle commuting reimbursement, ecocheques, and more.
